For I will always find you…

Finding You in Beauty

Penetrating Light

The rays of light filtered through
The sentinels of trees this morning.
I sat in the garden and contemplated.
The serenity and beauty
Of my feelings and surroundings
Completely captivated me.

I thought of you

I thought of you.

I discovered you tucked away
In the shadows of the trees.
Then, rediscovered you
In the smiles of the flowers

tucked away

As the sun penetrated their petals
In the rhythm of the leaves
Falling in the garden
In the freedom of the birds
As they fly searching as you do.

ending beauty

I’m very happy to have found you,
Now you will never leave me
For I will always find you in the beauty of life.

  1. I love this season of Autumn and so your beautiful photographic images bring awe into my heart as I discover them and happiness to my spirit as I see how well you have illustrated the poem by Walter Rinder which you shared here today. Thank you for the gift of you today.

  2. Your photography beautifully illustrates the words of the poet. Yesterday I was noticing the slanting sunlight penetrating the leaves in the woods and wondering how I might capture it on film. Your first photo did just that! There is something different about the light this time of year… So lovely… I also loved the dried leaf on the weathered boards. Another autumn mood…

    1. Barbara,

Bless you! Much of the time I have an idea of the photo but have yet to find the language that expresses that mood or idea, and then the search is on!
Yes it is the slant of the Sun, it is also the filtered through other trees and leaves, which I found more often in my little wood, now everything is rather open. So it is more conscious to capture, light and shadow.
