A walk with Robert Frost

Nothing Gold Can Stay.

Nothing Gold can stay

Nature’s first green is gold,

First leaf

Her hardest hue to hold.

hardest hue to hold

Her early leaf’s a flower;

leaf's a flower;

But only so an hour.

so an hour

The leaf subsides to leaf.

Leaf to leaf

So Eden sank in grief.

Eden sank

So dawn goes down to day.

dawn goes down

Nothing gold can stay.

Nothing can stay

Robert Frost

  1. Jeff, Thanks for putting your beautiful photography together with some of my favorite verse! Of all Frosts’ works, this one has special meaning in that it evokes in me such a bittersweet remembrance of those fleeting, famous, long past gone, golden moments.

    May the Best of the Season be Yours!

  2. this is priceless, Jeff — so well choreographed with such tender sweet reminders of life imitating life. Your pictures (as usual) are simply marvelous. They remind me to cherish each moment as it comes, knowing it is all temporary and by the time I’ve realized it, those moments are already gone.

    1. Barbara,

      Priceless! Wow! I had nothing to say of my own and wished to express myself ! I am glad that creativity has sung her song!

      Thank you so much for enjoying this blog!

      I am Love, Jeff
